Phipps Dickson Integria takes coveted prizes at the Gutenberg Gala

MONTREAL, April 18th, 2007 — Phipps Dickson Integria proudly accepted several prizes last night at the Gutenberg Gala event. The gala, hosted by the ‘Artisans des arts graphiques de Montréal’, highlights excellence in print achievements and drew over 500 people to witness the unveiling of this year’s prize winners.

For their piece entitled ‘The Whiteface Lodge’, Phipps Dickson won both the Gutenberg prize in the ‘Product and services’ category, as well as JBR’s ‘Best Utilization of Paper’ prize. Papers with different coatings were used in the piece and this textural enhancement elicited the sensation of warmth, beauty and comfort that the client wished to convey for this property. Careful planning and attention to detail on Phipps Dickson’s behalf made for consistent and vibrant color reproduction while the gold foil stamping added to the overall richness of the brochure.

In addition, Phipps Dickson was awarded yet another Gutenberg prize in the ‘Diverse Specialty’ category for the project ‘Édu-Confiance’ which included multiple printed pieces within a special presentation box. Complex finishing and attention to detail ensured that all elements in this piece pulled together to provide a visually appealing and powerful tool for the end-user.

Integria’s participation resulted in 3 bronze, 2 silver and one gold prize. On the gold-winning Eiseman catalogue, Jamie Barbieri, President and CEO, commented: ‘the crispness and brilliance of the printed pages matched the quality of the jewelry that was being highlighted, and our client very much appreciated that the end result conveyed the essence of their product."

Jeff Houston, Vice President Sales, stated: “It is very rewarding to see our employees’ efforts be recognized by the print industry. They are true artisans who are passionate about their craft and who provide the teamwork necessary to produce these outstanding pieces”.
